The area schools all have a swimming carnival (competition) at the local pool this week. Yesterday was ours. The Monkey competed in three different styles of swimming while the doodle did one. The doodle swore that he was not going in the pool, but when it came time he jumped in and swam his heart out. In fact, he swam so well and so hard that he came in first!

Monkey's competition was more diverse, so while we know that he wasn't first or last, we really have no idea where he came in just yet as they had his group going with multiple heats. |

It was really nice to have the day to sit by the pool and watch my kids.

Oh how exciting to be in a carnival. I like that word better than competition. Doodle I am glad you changed your mind and decided to swim. What a champ. Monkey your breast stroke looks powerful. It is a difficult stroke. You will develop great shoulder muscles. Congratulations to both of you. Sarah - Jane Thanks for the updates in pictures. It really lifts my spirit.
