Yes, that's right. He pulled out his old tricks from last year and he got aggressive on the bus on the way to school. I got the call that they are not giving any warnings, they are not messing around. They want him off the bus for three days to send a strong message. We chatted about the fact that him being off the bus means that he is also out of school since we don't have a way to get him to and from day care. They reduced the sentence to 2 days off of the bus and therefore 2 days out of school.
This is Monkey's decision. He knows the rules. Oh he KNOWS the rules. He decided to break the rules and he is dealing with the consequences of the decision that he made. He understands that. He is fully aware of the choice that he made. We are not bringing it up anymore with him. The discussions have been had and we don't want to belabour the point. Whenever he brings it up we ask him who has the power to change this. His answer is "me". Then we drop it again. I can't sit on that school bus with him. He has to make the choice.
We tell him that he'll have the chance on Thursday to try again.
