So What Now?

It's been more than 5 months since we've arrived. Grandma has come and gone.  The boys have had big adventures.

So now what?

Now we pack!!

This is what the house looks like right now. those with a keen eye will note the bottles of wine being packed, and the plastic wine glasses.  Long time readers will recall that in Tasmania we saw some super classy picnickers with wine in wine glasses.  We vowed then and there to BE THAT CLASSY and we have taken the steps to make it happen my friends!

We will soon be heading off for an epic journey to Queensland. We set off by car, then train, then plane to arrive in the Gold Coast.  We'll see the theme parks, the beaches, hopefully absolutely no snakes *shudder*. Despite Wanda's exceptional service to us on our last epic road trip, we have opted to leave her in the Blue Mountains for this one.

Once we tire of that we will hop in a camper van for the road trip that Big C has so patiently been waiting for.  We will spend a week (randomly chosen duration) driving from Brisbane to Cairns.

Since I know that many of our dear readers are not familiar with that route, it is a leisurely 1700km drive.  We will stop along to swim on the Great Barrier Reef, do some bush walks, see some small towns and hang out on some beaches.

We finish the trip up with a few days in Cairns. So far we have nothing planned aside from a few days staying at a house with a pool.  Might plan more, might just sit by that pool!

Then we fly back to Sydney, hop on the train to the Blue Mountains, grab our car and drive home.
