Monkey and Grandma were flying in to Dubbo today at the end of their awesome adventure. Since we needed to be in Dubbo in the late afternoon to pick them up, we figured that we would head to the zoo.
We received a last minute pro tip that the best way to see this particular zoo is by bike. Who knew? So we loaded the bike on to the back of Wanda and off we went.
These two leopards are playing in the grass together. We had a great view of them. At one point one of them climbed a tree and they both strolled around quite a bit.
There was an area where people were welcome to go in and interact gently with the animals. Dave and BigC got as close as they could to this wallaby.
I would like to think that I got the best shot with this ostrich, but I'll leave that for the readers to decide.
We happened to arrive right as the koalas were getting fed. These little guys sleep for 20 hours a day and we lucked in today!! This guy was scampering all over the place and even got up nice and close to us!
#quokkaselfie it was the best I could do since they were an entire level down from me :)
This koala totally got up close to us!
These elephants are playing the 600KG version of "I'm the king of the castle"
