We have been winning with the weather for this entire trip. It was about time that our luck ran out.
To be able to sit in the hot pools on Hot Water Beach you need to be there at the right time. You need to dig in the correct spot.
We listened to some of this and hit the beach 2 hours early today. It was pouring rain and I brought a book to wait in the car I'm not one for the beach in cold and rainy conditions.
Monkey came to get me and told me that the time was right.
He was wrong. They were in the wrong spot at the wrong time. We found the right spot but everyone was rather cold and wet. As much fun as it was to have water so hot that it is scalding on the tenderest of your flesh, we called this one a wash and left.
We were not the only ones who felt the same way.
