With Saje away enjoying her Spartan race, the 'boys weekend' continued on Sunday. I checked my mental list of things to do around our neighbourhood and stumbled upon the Mudgee miniature railway.
I'm still unsure of how grandpa T and the boys hadn't made their way just down the road to where this little gem is situated.
When we pulled into the parking lot, the boys' eyes both lit up. Here they are at the ticket booth receiving their ride tickets. We opted for the 2$ for one ride option rather than the 10$ all you can ride option (the boys are both getting a great money sense)
It was a great time. The boys rode as I sprinted around the grounds snapping photos. Here's the proof:
Conveniently the railway is right next to a winery / cheese tasting venue.
Yes please!
Here's Monkey enjoying a pesto goat feta (his personal favourite). He's becoming quite the turophile:
Keeping our proud Scottish heritage strong, we opted to go to the nearby Woolies and grab some 'still good today' Edam cheese for 2$ rather than 15$. It was outstanding on our pizzas for dinner!
Both boys missed their mother today, but we spent a good part of the day chatting about how much both grandpa and grandma would have enjoyed being with us too.

Yup! There's something in your day for both Grandpa and me. Monkey, your taste buds are having a great adventure.
That Scottish heritage is a good decision maker. Looks like a fun day!
