Phew.
Made it at last.
I'm really looking forward to a wonderful summer with the boys.
We sat down this morning and collaborated on some ideas for the things that they'd like to do for the next two months.
Today, with the weather being junk, we decided to go out to the Aviation Museum. We invited E-man, Peanut and Small along for the fun.
Here are the little ones in the 'fun room' as we call it. Monkey was right into the arts and crafts. Thank you grade one teacher, you obviously worked wonders with him. He sat down, focussed and coloured in his door hanger for at home. Here's a photo of E-man in the hat that he made.
Here are the boys each taking a turn at posing for the pilot picture. Note that each boy has his hand where the control rod is. Peanut couldn't reach,so she just posed there.
It was a great time for all and soon enough we were piling into the car for the trip home.
More adventures are sure to follow. Check in often!
We have revived our old blog to share our travels with our family, friends and our future selves. We've changed our names around a little to keep our privacy. We hope you enjoy your visit!

Big C and mommy doing a little clean up
While I would still mock the people who use a power washer to clean their entire double driveway, I do see the uses for getting the nooks and crannies around the front and rear entrances to the house as well as removing bird doodie from the patio furniture and new zoom zoom.
I suggested that Big C come out and join me and he was more than game. I did have to keep an eye on him though. When he wasn't using the nozzle, he was trying to figure out how the machine works.

Wakefield Steam Train Trip
Grandma and Grandpa took BOTH, repeat BOTH boys Friday through Sunday. Saturday's highlight was an excursion on the Wakefield Steam train. Note the body-painting -- part of the entertainment on the trip up to Wakefield. The musicians on the trian became strong fellows as they moved the train on the round-about. Did the boys think the train was loud? Both boys made friends on the journey home.

Father's Day
More evidence of a happy baby
Here, pictured with dada (from our sister blog) is more evidence of this little man enjoying the company of his non-lactating father. He seems to enjoy the company of people other than mama in only short bursts.

He gets this from his mother's side of the family
Monkey has a new bed and Shayla-la has already commented that his future bride will be at a disadvantage when trying to share a bed the same size as he is used to having on his own. I laughed my head off the other night when I went in and discovered that he shares his mother and aunt's cover sharing style.

Focus your attention please (Christy)
I just wanted to point out that in the stack of books piled on top of BigC in this photo you will find the 911 book lovingly sent by Christy last January. He STILL loves it!!

The ice cream cone
Monkey gets an allowance. He can spend it how he chooses. The intention is that he learns some responsibility with his money.
This week the ice cream truck came by and he wanted to get a cone. The BIGGEST cone they had. No problem bud, it is your money. He spent $4 and bought a MONSTER vanilla ice cream cone enrobed in chocolate. He loved it!!!
In the end he only ate about 2/3 of it before his belly started to hurt and the ice cream dripped everywhere. Daddy made quick work of the leftovers and Monkey was very pleased with his purchase....though does think he would get a smaller one next time!!
