Sleepovers

Once a week, at least, Monkey sleeps over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He loves his sleepovers and usually the only good bye that we get once Grandma shows up in the bobling of the flair on the top of his head as he is walking off the front porch to get in to her jeep.

When you ask Monkey why he likes to sleep over there so much, he'll tell you that it is because he gets to watch TV all day and all night. Grandma denies that this is true and has even sent me photographic evidence of the things that go on during sleepovers to prove her point. Whaddaya think?

DPoD March 28 - Barbers or Doctors?

E-man was over for a visit this afternoon and some real goofiness ensued before Big C's nap. Here are the guys using the medical kit to perform some operations on me and each other. They also wound up trying to cut their hair - so I'm not sure whether they're headed for medical school or barber college. Either way I'm both a little proud and a little concerned.

DPoD March 26th - A late Easter update

On our Easter travels we found a place that was practically giving away little 'Do-It-Yourself' Easter Bunny houses. They were already constructed, you just needed to use the parts inside to decorate them. It sounded like a great idea and although we didn't get to it Easter morning we did get Big C's put together on Monday morning since we were all off school and work. Here's Big C putting the icing on, umm after sampling it : Here he is getting out the sprinkles, it required some shaking and then some more shaking and here's the finished product - ready to eat!

Monkey did his with his teachers at school on Tuesday, but was more than glad to show off his work too!

Good Friday 2008

Good Friday falls very early this year. I think that I overheard Grandpa say that this is the earliest that it will fall for a couple hundred more years. I guess this is the earliest that I'll ever have to deal with it again!!

We all went up to Westport for our usual BBQ lunch. We discovered a fair amount of snow was there. Here the boys are helping each other to hunt for their Easter treasures. This is Big C's favourite picture from the whole day. He asks to see it again and again.
I have no idea how my son ended up getting pushed down the hill on the top of the lid to someone's cooler. Please use the comments section to help me with this one if you have more information : )
Big C got a real kick out of pushing this chair around the clearing. You can see that the sturdy aluminum frame stood up only moderately well.
More Easter treat hunting time.

Down by the creek. This word is pronounced Creak, not crick. That would be a goofy way of saying it.

Fultons's Sugar Shack

Today we went to the sugar shack. We had a blast! We ate a yummy breakfast of pancakes and sausages first: And we went on a horse drawn wagon ride (it left without daddy though since he was taking this picture)Big C loved the maple on a stick...mmmmmm
The easter bunny was there giving everyone hugs
Then we went on a hunt for Easter eggs
