Day 6 Animal Kingdom - Back on track

Big C slept in until almost 8 this morning but we still got to the park for 9. We rushed back and got our FPs for the safari ride and then went to go and see the Lion King. It was a beautiful show. At one point there are some incredible gymnasts doing a great performance and Big C says "gymnastics! I can do that".(unfortunately we had such a great day that the camera didn't make it out of our pockets for the rest of the day!)

We left the show and went on to Finding Nemo the musical. It was magical. The boys were quite taken with it. It is also eman friendly.

We went to Yak and Yeti for a table service lunch (we didn't have a reservation). It was delicious. I had a rack of ribs and Dave had steak and shrimp. The kids had carrot sticks, apple sauce, chicken nuggets, juice and chocolate ice cream. At this point we are starting to feel like we are force feeding ourselves!! There is just so much food at every meal. Even with all of the walking we've been doing it is going to be a week before I fit into my clothes again!!

Big C was done and looking for a nap after lunch so we put him in the stroller and headed for Everest. BEST RIDE EVER!! Monkey had decided on a Yeti stuffi to be his one souvenir for the week so we picked it up. He was displeased that we opted to have it shipped to the hotel (free) rather than carry it with us all day, but we explained that it is white and best not dragged through the park all day.

I went on twice and Dave went on once (today). Monkey accompanied us each once but opted out for my second trip. By then BC was asleep and we went on a wander through the jungle trek. We saw tigers (I want to be one) and bats and other fun beasts.

We left there and got Monkey the soft pretzel he has been asking for. We watched all of the parade and then Big C woke up. He was so pleased to discover that upon waking up he was immediately going on a jeep safari ride!

We went on the ride again and it was fun. The driver wasn't as entertaining as our driver from the first visit (Chris) but he was okay and the jeep and savannah were entertaining enough.

By the time we came off of that we were feeling reasonably tired and not at all hungry. Despite the lack of hunger we all got popsicles (see, force feeding!) We had four fps for the Kali River Rapids but didn't feel like going. The temperature was fine but the sun wasn't really out and there was a breeze. Last time we went on it this week Monkey and Daddy were soaked and stayed that way for several hours. We handed our four FPs to some family who figured they were not going to get to go (the wait by the gate time was 80 minutes and the FPs were long gone for the day. Then took off for home.

The three boys had a long dip in the pool and by then it was 7 and we opted to clean the boys off and put them to bed.

Dave is currently in the arcade using up our 30 minutes of free arcade time.
