We joined forces and took the Tomorrowland Transit Authority "blue train". As we were going by we noticed what we thought was a new part of the track. Nope, just that all of the lights were on inside Space Mountain. It was pretty cool to see all of it in the day light like that. The lights were on because the ride was down. That was a bit of a theme for the day as it turns out.
We grabbed lunch at the same place as earlier in the week (yummy wraps) and we purchased three full meals and still felt like we were force feeding ourselves. The portions are HUGE! We didn't have the symphony of screaming like we did the other day since Splash Mountain was down.
We tried putting BC down for a nap but he wasn't having any of it. Monkey took Mommy and daddy on Big Thunder mountain once each. I wasn't too impressed since it was running at half speed for my turn. Big C was quite bitter about not being allowed on the ride. Poor guy. He could see the "trains" and he desperately wanted a piece of it.
We zipped out of there and aimed for Tomorrow Land to look for BC's firetruck. This was the thing he decided that he wanted after looking all week in the stores. The store was closed. The one store (kiosk) that we saw all week that had it was closed! So I did some asking around and found a manager. She found me a dead end so I found another manager. She got them to open the kiosk. They were out of stock so they checked the stock room. Nothing. Crap, crap, crap. I am trying to convince him to consider something else...I might as well talk to a wall. Then they told us that there was another store, in the Disney fire station that might sell it. Now how did I get this far without knowing that there is a Disney fire station??? Anyhow. I hoofed it down there with him and we found it!! He was so excited!
We went to the Lilo and Stitch ride (we had a FP) and it was a bomb. What a waste of time. It was scary without any real point to it. We used the granola bar shoes, not that anyone checked (bitter, disappointed tone to my voice).
After that monkey and I managed to get on Space mountain and now we're in the waiting room at Tony's anticipating another yummy experience here. We don't have a reservation, but we prefer this to the place where we do have a reservation tonight. While waiting to get in the boys played with Hula-hoops next to the big parade. They had a blast and mommy joined in for some dancing to the music!
We used the "get priority on anything you want" card that we got as an apology for the mishap with the store being closed, to get on the Peter Pan ride (very cool and totally eman friendly) and then headed out for our final walk down Main Street USA.
