Earth Hour 2008 - What will you be doing?

If you haven't already heard, tomorrow between 8 pm and 9pm the entire planet (well, to be honest those of us with electricity) will be observing the first Earth hour. This is a green initiative to turn the lights off, and all electrical appliances, for one hour. This conservation initiative is one that has the potential to impact the planet based solely on the number of those who participate. Here's the link for more info: http://www.earthhour2008.com/.
Please take a moment to think about and then please act on it. Let us know what you did for one hour of one day to make a difference.
See you in the darkness!

My roomates and I talked about Earth Hour this morning and we had both decided to partake in it so we decided that we would spend the hour together in the dark playing cards and having a few chips and drinks in the candlelight...

SO 8pm rolled around and we turned of the power...we couldn't believe how quiet it was...we never ended up playing cards...we just talked...it was just great to talk to them...we talked about past camping experiences and stuff...we talked so much that we could not believe how fast the time went by...by the time we checked what time it was it was 11:10pm!!! 2 hours and 10 minutes after we where going to put the power back on...but overall it was quite an experience and I can't wait until the statistics come out to see how many people participated....
