Monkey and Mommy Days

With everything that has been going on with Monkey he has needed some extra TLC. I took yesterday and today off of work to spend time with him. I've seen my goofy Monkey come back fairly rapidly.

Today we went to Jacques Cartier Park in Gatineau Quebec to go on the ice slides with The Bussey Family (minus Mr Bussey). Apparently we were not even close to being the only ones with this idea-it was a zoo!! Every school and day care from all over was there today. No worries for us. We went all the way to the farthest reaches of the park and found the shortest lines. We zipped until our bums couldn't take it anymore. Monkey is so light and so little that he would actually manage to spin all the way around as he came down the slide. He thought that was great!
We stopped at a local deli on the way home and picked up a Starbucks hot chocolate for Monkey.

He loved the whole concept!
He starts at the new school on Monday and he is thrilled about it. As, of course, are we.

We know that Monkey is young and the decision to give him a smaller group sounds like a supportive one. I am SO SO worried for him. It doesn't surprise me that administrators want to mainstream him. He obviously needs more support right now. We love you all so much. Grandma is rambling.
