An international student tradition continues

Last week, late Sunday night, we welcomed two Mexican students into our home. V and J were very friendly, however quite tired, and glad to be in their new home. We only have them here for 2 weeks, so we're trying to make the most of it.
The girls have been catching an early bus downtown and arriving home for supper with us, often after the boys are gone to bed. Their long days have often wiped them right out. We've had a little time to spend with them, so Thursday night we capitalized on the four of us all being home and energetic by making cookies. The girls had each almost never cooked or baked - since meals out run about 3 dollars they said.
I'd never cook either.
When V told us that her grandmother did the cooking, Saje asked her what she'd do when she became a grandmother. The response was 'Oh, my husband will cook!".
For now however the girls were game to help make cookies. They added the ingredients, ran the beaters (and licked them clean), made the little balls and then had them with some vanilla ice cream. Yummy.
When we took their pictures I asked what they said instead of cheese.
'Whiskey!'
Too cool. I think I'm gonna use that one.
