Grandma and Monkey in Cairns day one-The Great Barrier Reef

So they set off for their day and I start getting photos of them in front of the boat, and so on.  Before we get to that, I just want to draw you attention to the fact that this is a selfie taken by my mother.  I'll have to go back and check...is it the first? once I recovered from the whole selfie thing I carried on enjoying the photos.  This is them getting started.

 We look down in one --saw sharks and lots of little fish.  In semi submersible fish swim past us. Both were fantastic. The huge clam shell is 27 years old.
