NZ Day 24-Rotorua Geothermal stuff

Another one for Grandpa! He visited both the local geothermal places and confirmed that Te Pua is the one to go to. We arrived good and early so we could watch the geyser erupt. Here it is just getting started:
Boom:

Then we braved the continued driving nightmare and parked the car by the many walks and went to check the place out.  It is cool and crazy that this is the second active volcano our family has been in.
For the non long time readers, the last one was a few years ago in St Lucia.

After 11 months and 2.5 weeks of smiling for photos some of us are getting bored of it.
 Some of us.
Only some. Of. Us.
Blah, blah, geothermal activity....blah
Devil's Bathtub....blah. ..pH of 2....blah

I found this shirt and loved it! We've been staring at fire danger signs in Australia and NZ for a year.
BigC opted to come home and have some quiet time in the hot tub at our hostel. This is a tub of hot water kept warm by the geyser under the hostel.
I begged Dave to install a geyser under our house but he refuses.
