Another stress hurdle is out of the way. After the whole day care fiasco this is such a welcome event.
Yesterday we went and visited a potential school for Big C. We had our expectations set to realistic and were ready for whatever presented itself at their door. We were quite impressed with the level of care that Big C will be receiving come September. The environment is very enriched and will support whatever avenues he decides that he would like to investigate. The teaching staff is remarkably well qualified and the array of animals will certainly keep him occupied, including an adorable bird named Rainbow. There is a cute little play yard and lots of gardening going on so that he can practice up for next spring/summer with mommy. Overall the 3 of us are quite impressed and relieved that another piece of the puzzle has fallen in place, ideally for a few years to come. The moment that locked it in for us was when Big C entered the main room right after coming through the door and did a little dance, as if to say 'hey, this is my place...it's for me!!'
