Yesterday we met our homestay student, Y, who is truly delightful. Her grasp of the language is quite good and she is very polite. She spoke with us in the car ride home after meeting 2 very enthusiastic young boys and joined us for a meal of spagetti followed by chocolate borwnies and ice cream. She then shared some fantastic green tea with us that she brought from home.
She was kind and brought both of the boys gifts - a colouring book for Monkey featuring cars and a book about all sorts of vehicles for Big C. The first 30 or so pages are all about trains! I don't think that he's set the book down yet and constantly points to the same page shouting, shaking and pointing at the trains! Here's a picture of what the book looks like:
