It was also a lot of fun getting the splash rocket out and launching it up into the air. I taught both boys, though Monkey doesn't appear in the photos I think because he's going down the slide again, how to launch it up in the air enough to support the little cone-shaped projectile so that it would stay airborne and shoot water out in a 6 foot radius. Then we ran around it in circles and laughed ourselves silly. I think that I'm still laughing somewhere inside. What a fun day!

DPoD August 3rd - Silliness in the Summer Sun
Today was the perfect day for goofiness in the backyard. Mommy was home from work. The boys were both FULL of beans. The sun was shining and the weather was warm. So we pulled out all of the big, fun, water toys that we could and set them up in the yard. The duck pool ended up at the bottom of the slide. When wetted down both boys were able to come down at Mach 10 into the pool. Big C got quite the surprise the 1st time down, but he emerged with a giggle and a grin. We also got out the hydro blasters that suck up water and then shoot them about 15 feet. Lots of fun was had teaching Monkey how to put out fires, water the flowers and wet the very dry lawn (we shot at the brown patches until they turned green).
