DPoD August 8th - Monkey the Engineer

After soccer camp last week, today we got back on track (excuse the pun) at the M of S and T. This time however things were a little bit different. Sensing that Monkey had a little bit of locomotive withdrawl I thought it worth my while to try and get him out of the caboose and into the locomotive itself. We were in luck! The engineer hoisted Monkey up and showed him how everything worked. He made Monkey available for some great photos and really let him look around while the engine was waiting for the coaches to fill with passengers. It was a fabulous experience for the little guy as you can likely tell by the smile on his face. When we got back on the ground the engineer backed up the train and really revved the engine. Then he blew the whistle and took off quickly down the line letting out a huge cloud of black smoke. Monkey was elated! We had a great morning and are looking forward to the rest of the week (it's really flying by!).
