Adventure Tours- Day One-Darwin to Katherine

Our tour left this morning at 6:50.  What a time to be on the move!

We are in a massive 14 seater Toyota 4x4 vehicle for a five day tour.  We keep seeing "road trains" as pictured here:
These are long and heavy!  It takes up to 1km for them to get up to their 100km/h cruising speed.  It also takes a LONG time for them to slow down.

The first stop of the day was close to Arnhem land where we got a tour of the trees and plants used by the aboriginal people as well as an awesome demonstration of the making and playing of dijeridoos.  Our guide was awesome and shared lots of information about the local customs and traditions.
Here is another fine example of the warning signs that I have grown to love around this country. Just a quick note folks, follow the sign or you have a good chance of dying. Righty-o!
We stopped by the Coorrolleree billabong and took a wetlands cruise.  It was awesome!
The guide found 3 crocodiles for us to gawk at as they laid in the sun. We saw lots of local creatures in their natural habitat.  It's always cool to see creatures outside of captivity.  Two of the crocodiles are seen below on the far right.
All of this was before lunch! We're having a ball.
